Kuwait City: The United States Embassy in Kuwait affirmed the strong strategic ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to regional security and stability. In a statement, the embassy said it hosted a Memorial Day event late Monday in collaboration with the American Business Council-Kuwait (ABCK).
According to Kuwait News Agency, the event featured remarks by US Ambassador in Kuwait Karen Sasahara and US Air Force Colonel Matthew Johnson, who both highlighted the symbolic significance of this occasion, reaffirming the joint Kuwaiti-American dedication to regional peace. A documentary screening on the Liberation of Kuwait from Iraqi occupation was also featured in the event, as well as displaying firsthand accounts from American, coalition nations, and Kuwaiti participants reflecting three decades of cooperation and military sacrifice in and around Kuwait.
Attendees included senior Kuwaiti officials, members of the US diplomatic mission, and representatives from ABCK, underscoring the bilateral ties across defense, education, commerce, and cultural exchange.
