US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday he was unaware of the details behind reports of dual drone attacks on the Kremlin in the Russian capital.
“I can’t in any way validate them. We simply don’t know… So, we’ll see what the facts are. And it’s really hard to comment or speculate on this without really knowing what the facts are,” Blinken said at an event hosted by the Washington Post.
In response to a question by reporters about the US position on such attacks by the Ukraine, he added “we leave it to Ukraine to decide how it’s going to defend itself.” However, spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said Washington was “certainly not encouraging, or enabling Ukraine to strike beyond its borders
