Al-sulaimanyia: The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) on Friday expressed strong disapproval over the recent armed clashes in the Governorate of Al-Sulaimanyia, which have led to fatalities and injuries.
According to Kuwait News Agency, UNAMI issued a statement urging the parties involved to exercise self-restraint and avoid actions that could endanger civilian lives. The statement emphasized the importance of respecting human rights and adhering to legal measures in line with the constitution.
Sabah Al-Naaman, the spokesperson for the Iraqi Armed Forces, described the incidents as regretful. He called for compliance with existing legal and judicial standards to address the situation.
