Kuwait city: The International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Chief of Mission in Kuwait, Mazen AboulHosn, emphasized Kuwait's significant humanitarian contributions, highlighting its status as a global hub renowned for aiding vulnerable communities in various crisis-hit regions.
According to Kuwait News Agency, AboulHosn shared these remarks during a meeting with Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Chairman Khaled Al-Mughames. They discussed ongoing IOM projects in multiple countries and explored ways to enhance cooperation in humanitarian assistance, health, and education to ensure more effective outreach.
AboulHosn pointed out that Kuwait is a key supporter of IOM, with several cooperation agreements recently signed. He mentioned ongoing coordination efforts to establish new partnerships in Syria, Yemen, and Sudan aimed at strengthening joint humanitarian initiatives.
Al-Mughames stated that KRCS remains committed to bolstering its regional and international humanitarian role. The organization focuses on supporting vulnerable groups and building robust partnerships with global entities to achieve sustainable humanitarian outcomes.
He further emphasized that the Society is dedicated to expanding cooperation with UN agencies and specialized organizations to improve the quality of relief, health, and development programs, thereby reinforcing Kuwait's longstanding humanitarian presence in major global humanitarian fields.
The meeting took place at the KRCS headquarters, with senior officials from the Organization in attendance.
