Geneva: Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, has commended the State of Kuwait for its significant support for refugees worldwide. He emphasized that Kuwait's assistance is becoming increasingly vital amidst the challenging circumstances many nations currently face.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Grandi's remarks were shared on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, after the inaugural strategic dialogue between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the State of Kuwait. During this meeting, both parties stressed the importance of enhancing their long-term partnership.
The dialogue featured a high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and took place in Geneva on Wednesday. The discussions highlighted the deep-rooted humanitarian partnership between the two entities, a relationship that has spanned decades.
