Sydney: The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned late Sunday the terrorist attack, which occurred in the city of Sydney, Australia, resulting in several casualties.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Deputy Secretary General Spokesman, Farhan Haq, stated, "The Secretary-General strongly condemns the heinous terrorist attack... He expresses his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and extends his wishes for a swift and full recovery to those injured." He further added, "The Secretary-General stands in solidarity with the people and Government of Australia during this difficult time."
The attack took place at Bondi Beach in Sydney, leading to the death of 12 people and causing injuries to 29 others. The incident was carried out by individuals who targeted a celebratory gathering attended by more than a thousand participants.
