UN Chief Calls for Just Peace, Respect to Ukraine’s Sovereignty

New York: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres emphasized the urgent need for a just and comprehensive peace that respects Ukraine's sovereignty and independence under international law.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Guterres described the war in Ukraine as a severe threat to peace, security, and the fundamental principles of the United Nations, only 80 years after the conclusion of World War II. His statement came on the third anniversary of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Guterres expressed his support for any efforts aimed at achieving a fair and inclusive peace and reiterated the UN's commitment to facilitating such initiatives.
