UK Pledges 100,000 Drones to Ukraine Amidst Strategic Defense Review

London: The British Defense Ministry has announced a commitment to provide 100,000 drones to the Ukrainian army, with plans to deliver them in batches over the coming months. This move is set to significantly enhance Ukraine's military capabilities.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry revealed that GBP 350 million (approximately USD 473 million) will be allocated to accelerate the drone delivery process, making it ten times faster than last year when 10,000 drones were delivered. This funding is part of a larger GBP 4.5 billion (approximately USD six billion) military aid package designated for Ukraine during the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

The British Ministry praised the Ukrainian armed forces for their effective use of drones, which has motivated increased investment in drone technology in collaboration with British Defense corporations. This announcement follows the release of a strategic defense review, which called for significant budget allocations to enhance the capabilities of British forces.
