UK Government Collaborates with Aviation Industry to Combat Illegal Migration

London: The UK government launched a joint program on Friday in collaboration with aviation companies across Europe to address the issue of illegal migration. This initiative aims to secure borders and restore order to the immigration system by preventing individuals from traveling to the UK illegally.

According to Kuwait News Agency, more than 9,000 European airline staff have been trained to verify UK visa documents. These training sessions are conducted in 39 countries, including those known for irregular migration routes such as Greece, Italy, Malta, and Albania. The goal is to ensure that passengers have the correct UK entry documentation before boarding flights, thereby enhancing the UK's border security operations.

This comprehensive initiative spans 39 European countries and includes a combination of online and in-person sessions. It is part of the newly launched Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) and eVisa system, which now mandates European travelers to register online before entering the UK.
