London: The British economy experienced a growth of 0.3 percent last November, building on a 0.1 percent increase in October, with the improvement largely attributed to advancements in the services sector, as revealed by official statistics on Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) report highlighted that the services sector, which accounts for 79 percent of the UK's total economic activity, rebounded from a decline of 0.3 percent in October to achieve a growth of 0.3 percent in November. This growth was observed in seven out of the 14 sectors, notably in science, technology, and industry.
The ONS further reported that the production sector experienced a monthly growth of 1.1 percent, driven by enhanced industrial production. In contrast, the construction sector faced a decline, decreasing by 1.3 percent during the same period.
The British Treasury responded to the report by affirming its commitment to continue economic development plans and enhance workers' incomes through increased investments in infrastructure projects and essential reforms.
