The International Association of Lawyers (UIA) on Wednesday honored the Vice President of the Kuwait Bar Association for International Relations, Abdulrahman Al-Tahous, as the best national representative in the union for 2024. This happened during the 68th General Conference of the International Association of Lawyers, which is taking place in Paris from Wednesday October 3rd until Sunday November 3rd. In a statement to KUNA, Kuwait representative in the union Abdulrahman Al-Tahous, expressed his happiness over receiving this honor from among 1,280 lawyers participating in the conference. He dedicated this honor to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and his colleagues in the Bar Association. Al-Tahous stressed that over the course of five years he has worked hard in the name of Kuwait, to make it stand out in international forums, he considers the honor he received a Kuwaiti achievement at the global level. He encouraged everyone to strive towards ambitious goals, stressing the need for scientific competence as well as experience and dedication to work. Al-Tahous was appointed by the Association at the UIA Executive Committee meeting held in Luxembourg on November 5th 2019, where he approved the appointments and renewals of the national representatives. Additionally, Kuwait will host one of UIA's programs in April 2025, which will enhance Kuwait's position internationally.
