UAE Urges Swift Global Action to Prevent Conflict Escalation

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has emphasized the necessity for urgent and coordinated measures at both regional and international levels to prevent the ongoing military escalation in the region from spreading further and affecting global peace and security.

According to Kuwait News Agency, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, through the UAE's official news agency, highlighted the need for a diplomatic approach five days into the current military confrontation. Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of leading both parties towards de-escalation to halt hostilities and avert severe consequences.

He cautioned against reckless actions that could extend beyond the involved countries' borders and underscored the immediate need for a cessation of hostilities to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control.

Sheikh Abdullah conveyed that UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain the conflict. He emphasized the need for wisdom in a region that has historically faced prolonged conflict, asserting that further tension and confrontation are untenable. Wisdom and restraint, he noted, are essential in navigating the current situation.
