KUWAIT CITY: President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, along with his delegation, arrived in Kuwait for a state visit. Their arrival was marked by a warm welcome at the airport by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, other dignitaries present to receive the UAE President included the Acting Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, and Deputy Commander of Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. They were accompanied by the Minister of State for Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, among other senior officials. The UAE President’s plane was escorted by a squadron of Kuwaiti warplanes as it entered Kuwaiti airspace.

ty Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and Ruler’s Representative in Al-Dhafrah Region Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. Others in the delegation were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and Deputy Chairman of Presidential Court for Special Affairs Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Al-Nahyan, along with other officials.
An official reception ceremony was conducted at the Amiri Airport to welcome Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed. The ceremony featured the playing of national anthems of both countries, following which the UAE President reviewed the honor guards and greeted top officials of the Kuwaiti government. His Highness the Amir also exchanged greetings with the members of the official delegation accompanying the UAE President.
As the procession left the Amiri Airport, children lined the roads waving flags of both nations and chanting
welcoming phrases. Upon arrival at Bayan Palace, the President was greeted with a 21-gun salute, while military helicopters flew overhead displaying the flags of both nations. A traditional welcome was further extended by horseback riders and folk troops performing cultural pieces.
