UAE and Egypt Presidents Back US Initiative to Halt Gaza Conflict

Kuwait city: Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi and UAE's President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan expressed their support for the initiative proposed by US President Donald Trump aimed at halting the war in Gaza.

According to Kuwait News Agency, both leaders emphasized the significance of this peace initiative in paving the way toward achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region. Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohammad Al-Shennawy stated that these remarks were made during a meeting between President Al-Sisi and President Sheikh Mohammad in Cairo. The meeting was part of ongoing consultations and close coordination between the two countries' leaderships, focusing on regional developments, especially the situation in Gaza.

President Al-Sisi reaffirmed the strong Egyptian-Emirati bilateral relations, highlighting the progress in cooperation across various sectors, particularly in trade and investment. He reiterated Egypt's commitment to removing obstacles facing Emirati investments and commended the significant growth in bilateral economic ties.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed praised the improvements in Egypt's investment climate, noting that it reflects the country's efforts to enhance the business environment and attract further foreign investment.
