U.S. President Trump and Erdogan Discuss Ending Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday his intention to collaborate with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to resolve the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This declaration followed a recent phone conversation between the two leaders.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Trump shared details of the discussion via a post on the Truthsocial platform, highlighting the productive nature of their conversation. The dialogue covered various international issues, including the Russia-Ukraine war, the situation in Syria, and developments in Gaza.

During the call, President Erdogan extended an invitation to Trump to visit Turkiye, while Erdogan himself plans to visit Washington, D.C. Trump reflected on his previous tenure, noting the strong relationship he maintained with Erdogan. He recalled their past cooperation, mentioning Erdogan's role in the swift return of Pastor Andrew Brunson to the United States upon his request.

Trump emphasized his eagerness to work with Erdogan in bringing an end to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which he described as "ridiculous, but deadly." The former president underscored the urgency of resolving the conflict swiftly.
