Manila: Typhoon Tino, which struck central Philippines on Tuesday, has resulted in the death of one person and has affected more than 60,000 people, according to the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
According to Kuwait News Agency, the NDRRMC reported that the fatality occurred in the Central Visayas region, with the typhoon making landfall late on Monday. The report highlighted that 17,142 families have been impacted by the disaster, and 108 seaports have halted operations.
The Philippines regularly experiences tropical typhoons, with an average of 20 each year, leading to both human casualties and infrastructural damage.
