Turkiye’s Bolu hit by 4.8-magnitude earthquake

ISTANBUL, March 16 (KUNA) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit the province of Bolu, northern Turkiye, without causing any serious damage.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) revealed that the quake occurred this afternoon at the depth of 8.13 kilometers in Bolu.

In another development, 14 people were killed in the last 24 hours due to floods, which hit the southeastern region of Turkiye already heavily affected by the February sixth devastating earthquakes.

The earthquake, affecting southern Turkiye and northern Syria, had taken over 48,000 lives thus far, and caused the displacement of about 100,000 people. (end) to.gta
