Turkish President Condemns Terror Attack Against Church in Syria

Damascus: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned on Monday the terror explosion that targeted a church in the Syrian capital Damascus. In a statement on X, Erdogan denounced the "heinous" attack against the church, expressing, at the same time, condolences to the Syrian government, people, and families of the victims. He added that Turkiye would not allow for instability in Syria, expressing his support to the Syrian government and people.

According to Kuwait News Agency, President Erdogan's statement emphasized the importance of maintaining stability and security in the region. He reiterated Turkiye's commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring peace for neighboring countries. Erdogan's remarks came after reports of the attack surfaced, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by Syria in ensuring safety for its citizens and places of worship.
