Turkish President Calls for Lasting Calm in Middle East Amid Ceasefire Agreement

The Hague: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed hope on Wednesday that the newly established ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israeli occupation will lead to enduring peace. He emphasized the necessity for all parties involved to take responsibility in achieving stability in the Middle East.

According to Kuwait News Agency, President Erdogan addressed the media during a press conference following a NATO summit. He highlighted that sustainable solutions with Iran can only be achieved through diplomatic channels and constructive dialogue. Erdogan pointed out that the region's history demonstrates that war and destruction are futile.

Erdogan also remarked on the recent tensions between the Israeli occupation and Iran, which have heightened regional risks. He noted that Ankara has been actively engaged in diplomatic initiatives since the onset of the crisis to mitigate potential conflicts.

The ceasefire agreement was announced by US President Donald Trump on Monday, who stated that Iran and the Israeli occupation had reached a "complete and total ceasefire."
