ANKARA, March 16 (KUNA) — The Justice and Development political party announced on Thursday that it had nominated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the upcoming presidential elections on the 14th of May.
According to the Anadolu Agency, the party’s meeting was held behind closed doors in the Turkish Parliament headquarters in Ankara.
The Turkish Supreme Election Council announced officially that the first round of elections would be held on May 14, and also announced that the second round will be held on May 28 if necessary. (end) ako.bb
