Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a series of intensive telephone calls with a number of his counterparts during the past four days, in which he discussed the most prominent regional and international crises and the efforts made to stop conflicts.

On August 1, Fidan had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, during which they discussed the latest developments in the negotiations aimed at ending the war in the region. During the call, Fidan emphasized that Trkiye will continue to make efforts to end conflicts in the region and establish lasting peace.
On the third of this month, the Turkish Foreign Minister discussed the latest developments in the region with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Fidan also made a telephone call to the new British Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, congratulating him on taking office, and discussed with him developments in the Middle East, particularly in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war and efforts to end conflicts in the region.
