Trump Urges Quick Resolution to India-Pakistan Tensions

Washington: US President Donald Trump expressed his hope on Tuesday that the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan conclude "very quickly." This statement followed a series of military strikes by New Delhi, which prompted threats of retaliation from Islamabad.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the President remarked on the situation during a press briefing at the White House. India had announced that it targeted "terrorist camps" within Pakistan's territory, a move that followed a deadly assault on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir. Trump, acknowledging the gravity of the situation, stated, "It's a shame, we just heard about it. I just hope it ends very quickly."

The longstanding adversaries, India and Pakistan, have engaged in three significant wars since achieving independence from British colonial rule in 1947. The recent developments have once again heightened concerns over stability in the region, drawing international attention to the need for a peaceful resolution.
