Washington: US President Donald Trump affirmed on Wednesday that the United States will work with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and other partners in the Middle East to end atrocities and simultaneously achieve stability in Sudan.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Trump stated in a post on Truth Social that Sudan has become the most violent place on earth, as the war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has continued for over two years. Trump emphasized the severity of the situation, describing it as the world's largest humanitarian crisis, with an urgent need for food, medical aid, and other essential resources.
Trump further revealed that Arab leaders, particularly His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, have sought his intervention to leverage the power and influence of the presidency to halt the ongoing turmoil in Sudan. He expressed that Sudan, despite its rich civilization and culture, has strayed from its path but remains capable of reform through international cooperation.
The US President highlighted the potential for reform in Sudan through collaboration and coordination among nations, including resource-rich countries in the region that are eager to contribute to Sudan's stability.
