Washington: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that President Donald Trump's Administration will proceed with its efforts to deport undocumented migrants, despite ongoing protests in Los Angeles and other states.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Leavitt addressed reporters, emphasizing the administration's commitment to removing individuals who have violated U.S. immigration laws. She highlighted the president's focus on targeting violent offenders and reiterated the importance of immigration enforcement in safeguarding American communities.
Leavitt expressed gratitude towards ICE and Border Patrol agents for their dedication to the initiative. She also stressed the necessity of legislative support, specifically a bill that would allocate funds for hiring additional ICE and Border Patrol personnel to enhance public safety operations.
Leavitt reported that since June 6, authorities have arrested 330 undocumented individuals in connection with the Los Angeles protests, with 113 of those arrested having prior criminal records.
