Taif: The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission will launch the third Writers and Readers Festival in Taif from January 9 to 15. The selection of Taif as the festival's host underscores its deeply rooted cultural stature, marked by a rich literary heritage and a vibrant cultural scene. Taif is the first city in the Kingdom to be recognized by UNESCO as a Creative City in the field of literature.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival aims to celebrate the contributions of both local and international writers by presenting poetry readings, musical performances, performing arts, art exhibitions, and interactive displays. It will open daily from 4:00 PM to midnight, offering visitors a wide range of cultural and literary activities.
