Venice: The docudrama 'The Voice of Hind Rajab' has been awarded the Silver Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival. The film, directed by Kaother Ben Hania, captures the harrowing final hours of a 6-year-old Palestinian child named Hind from the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City. Hind's life was tragically cut short in January 2024 when she was killed by Israeli forces. According to Kuwait News Agency, the film portrays the distressing incident where Hind was shot by Israeli forces targeting a car carrying several of her relatives. During the attack, a rescue call was made to the red crescent, which recorded Hind's voice as she described the unfolding events amidst the gunfire. This poignant audio serves as a central element of the narrative, bringing to light the young girl's perspective in her last moments.
