The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of three PKK militants in northern Iraq.

The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement today, Friday, that one of the Turkish army units in charge of operations to the Claw Lock in northern Iraq responded with fire at a group of PKK militants in the Matina area, and managed to kill three of them and seize a quantity of ammunition.

The Turkish army carried out a large-scale military operation on April 18 of last year, and it is still ongoing, dubbed Claw Lock, against the strongholds of the PKK in the regions of Matina, Zab, Afshin and Bazian in northern Iraq./ End
