The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, directed today, Tuesday, to extend the opening times of the Green Zone from 6 am to 12 pm.
The Commander of the Special Division, Brigadier General Muhammad Kadhem Attia, said in a statement that: “Under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, it was decided to extend the times of opening the Green Zone to citizens from 6 in the morning until 12 at night.”
He added, “The decision includes opening Gate No. (7) from the direction of the Baghdad Operations Command from Al-Nusour Square towards Karrada and Baghdad Airport to reduce traffic.”
