The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, congratulated today, Thursday, the Head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, on the party’s forty-eighth anniversary.
Al-Sudani said in a statement: Today marks the forty-eighth anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, as a sincere national movement that has been active in combating dictatorship, striving to achieve cultural, social and political demands, and hopes for democracy and justice for our Kurdish people in particular, and for the general Iraqi people.
He added: On this occasion, we recall the honorable positions of the late President Mam Jalal Talabani, the founder of the union and the unifying national figure, and his efforts that are not overlooked in building the new Iraq, and establishing the path of the constitution, justice and equality, in a vivid image of our country, as it confidently steps towards consolidating the great gains that his sons achieved with blood and eternal sacrifices.
He added that the congratulations are extended to all the union’s fighters and leaders on the founding anniversary, and to all its active cadres, and to everyone who gave good and benevolence on his path, and set people’s interests as a goal and goal for national action, and we wish the continuation of the positive momentum of the union’s path in promoting prosperity and civil peace.
