The Palestinian Authority conducts intensive contacts to reach an immediate halt to the war on Gaza

Baghdad, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh, announced: “The Palestinian Authority is conducting intensive contacts with several Arab countries to reach a quick solution to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.”

Al-Sheikh said: “These contacts aim to reach an immediate ceasefire, open humanitarian corridors to supply the Gaza Strip with food and medical supplies, and restore electricity and water.”

He stressed: "With these contacts, the Palestinian Authority aims to spare the besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip from the consequences of this devastating war, protect civilians, prevent their displacement, and stop the aggression immediately."

Hamas and other Palestinian factions in Gaza launched Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” at dawn last Saturday, in response to the continuing attacks by Israeli forces and settlers on the Palestinian people, their property, and their sanctities. They carried out a major attack on land, sea, and air, and fought a street war with the Israeli army.

On the other hand, Israeli forces launched Operation Iron Swords and launched intensive raids on many areas in the Gaza Strip, which is inhabited by more than two million Palestinians who suffer from deteriorating living conditions as a result of the Israeli siege.

The continuous raids resulted in massive destruction in populated areas, great loss of life, and a mass exodus from the Gaza Strip.
