The Ministry Of Transport Announces The Completion Of (60%) Of Faw Port Berths Project

The Ministry of Transport announced today, Thursday, the completion of 60 % of Al-Faw port berths project in Basra Governorate.

A statements made by the ministry said: “The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, inspected this morning the projects of the great port of Faw, accompanied by the governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, a number of MPs and the general manager of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, to see the stages of work progress and the completion rates achieved in the project.”

The statement added, “The minister conducted a field tour in the five berths project of the port, which reached high and advanced completion rates of 60%, where the pile-driving process was completed at berths 1, 2, and 3, and the covers were installed and the concreting pouring of the berths began.” Indicating that “the work is still continuing in accordance with international standards and for periods commensurate with the specified timelines.”
