Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani discussed, today, Friday, with Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazpromneft Company, and a number of company officials, the development of the oil industry in Iraq.
A statement by the Ministry of Oil stated that “Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani received in Russia Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazpromneft Company, and a number of company officials, in the presence of the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrachev,” noting that “During the meeting they discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and ways to develop joint projects, in a way that contributes to the development of the oil and energy industry in Iraq and serves common interests.
The statement added that the meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, Ali Maaraj, the Ministry’s Advisor, Hamdan Awejel, and the Director General of the Maysan Oil Company, Hussein Kadhim Laibi, and on the part of the Gazprom Company, Vadim Yakovaev, Deputy General Director, the Executive Director of Gazprom in Iraq, Rinat Bakhitov, and the Director of International Relations, Viaghislav Nikonorov, and International Relations Officer Konstantin Abramov.”
This meeting comes, according to the statement, on the sidelines of the official visit by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil to the Republic of Russia.
