The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, visited today, Saturday, the Chairman of the Tribal Council of Tarmiyah District, north of the Capital, Baghdad, Sheikh Saeed Al-Jassim Al-Mashhadani, who was subjected to a failed assassination attempt yesterday, Friday, and he was reassured about the health condition of Sheikh Al-Mashhadani.
According to a statement by his office, the Minister stressed that the perpetrators of this crime will be pursued, arrested, and brought to justice to receive their just punishment.
The Minister stressed that the competent security services in the Ministry of Interior are serious about pursuing wanted persons and will not allow any attack on citizens.
