The Minister of Foreign Affairs chairs the twenty-sixth session of the Ministerial Council for Economy

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, chaired today, Monday, the twenty-sixth session of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, Ministers of Finance, Trade, Industry, Agriculture, Labor and Social Affairs, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the National Investment Commission and Chairman of the Finance Commission and Advisors to the Prime Minister for economic and legal affairs.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the council discussed the items on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions in this regard.

According to the statement, the Council hosted the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, the head of the Federal Oversight Bureau, the Governor of Nineveh and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning to study the obstacles that impede the completion of important service projects such as the Fallujah and Shatra sewage project and the Sennacherib Tunnel in Mosul. The Council decided to complete the completion of these important projects as soon as possible and solve all the problems encountered the implement of it.”

The Council listened to an explanation given by the head of the Supervision Bureau about the problems that impede the completion of the Bismayah housing project in his capacity as chairman of the committee formed by the council to study the reality of that project, whose membership includes the head of the National Investment Commission, the legal advisor to the Prime Minister and a number of general managers. / End
