The Iraqi Artists Syndicate mourned the death of the artist, director, Dr. Amer Alwan.
It said in a statement: It is with great sadness and sorrow that the Iraqi Artists Syndicate mourns the departure of the artist, director, Dr. Amer Alwan, who died yesterday, Tuesday, in Paris, asking the Lord to bless him with his mercy and to inspire his family, lovers and colleagues patience and solace. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.
