The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the discovery of the body of the senior Iranian advisor, Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was with the former Secretary-General of “Hezbollah” Hassan Nasrallah when he was assassinated.
The Revolutionary Guards statement said: “After days of search operations, the body of the senior Iranian advisor, Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was martyred alongside the master of the resistance, the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, was found as a result of the Zionist aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut.”
Israeli media reports revealed new details about the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah in the southern suburb of Beirut.
Maariv reported that a man who met Nasrallah shook hands with him and smeared his hands with a substance that allowed Israel to track him, noting that it took Israel two minutes to locate Nasrallah and confirm his presence at the party headquarters in the southern suburb of Beirut.
It reported that minutes later, Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes on the headquarters and dropped an estimated 80 tons of bombs on the site, killing Nasrallah and senior party leaders, noting that Nasrallah died of suffocation after hiding in an unventilated room at the headquarters, into which toxic gases resulting from the bombing leaked.
Israel launched Operation “Arrows of the North” military operation on Lebanon on September 23, during which it carried out extensive airstrikes. The declared goal was to create safe conditions in the areas of Israel’s northern border so that tens of thousands of residents could return there.
As a result of one of the raids that took place on September 27 in Beirut, Nasrallah was killed, and the party confirmed his death and pledged to continue bombing Israel until a ceasefire in Gaza was reached.
