The head of the Integrity Commission Receives The Chinese Ambassador And Stresses The Necessity Of Providing A Safe Environment For Investment

Baghdad/ NINA/ -The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, stressed the necessity of providing a safe environment for investment and protecting operating companies and the private sector, which represents one of the pillars of the government program, stressing that the Commission has made great strides in this field, and companies must enter the labor market in Iraq.

During his meeting with the Chinese Ambassador (Cui Wei) at the Commission’s headquarters, Judge Haider Hanoun pointed out the importance of diversifying investment and not limiting it to specific companies, expressing his happiness at the entry of companies from the People’s Republic of China to invest in Iraq and contribute to the reconstruction and infrastructure development processes, calling these companies must not submit to blackmail and bargaining, warning that the Commission will accompany companies step by step when they are exposed to obstacles or blackmail, indicating that protecting them represents protection for the Iraqi economy.

He explained that the successes in the field of combating corruption, reducing its paths, and besieging the corrupt have not been achieved by any of the counterpart agencies in the region, pointing out that this represents a guarantee for companies to work inside Iraq, in addition to other guarantees represented by judicial guarantees through the issuance of judgments and arrest orders issued against the corrupt, as well as the legislative authority by legislating laws that restrict the work of corrupt people and provide a safe environment for investment, stressing the importance of accelerating the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the National Committee for People’s Oversight in the Republic of China.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador (Cui Wei) expressed his satisfaction with the good relationship between the two countries, pointing out that the Mesopotamian civilization and the Chinese civilization are considered among the deepest and oldest civilizations, as both countries possess ideas and values from ancient times, praising the achievements made by the Federal Integrity Commission in the field of anti-corruption and preventing it, hoping that a cooperation agreement will be concluded between the counterpart integrity and anti-corruption bodies in the two countries, and bridges of cooperation will be extended between the embassy and the commission, and a meeting will be held with Chinese companies operating in Iraq.
