Syria’s Interim President Visits Riyadh for First Official Trip Abroad

Riyadh: Syria's newly-appointed President Ahmad Al-Sharaa arrived in Riyadh on Sunday in his first official visit abroad since his appointment as the country's transitional president. During his stay in the Saudi capital, the Syrian leader, accompanied by Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, is expected to meet with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman. According to Kuwait News Agency, this visit marks the first by the interim Syrian leader since he assumed power following the ouster of Bashar Al-Assad in December. Ahmad Al-Sharaa's visit is anticipated to focus on strengthening diplomatic relations and discussing regional stability with Saudi Arabia.
