Syria Resumes Flights to and from Libya After Decade-Long Suspension

Damascus: President of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority Ashhad Al-Sulaibi announced the resumption of direct flights between Syria and Libya after more than 10 years of suspension. Flights will operate between Syria's Damascus International Airport and Libya's Tripoli and Benghazi airports starting next week, as reported by the Libyan news agency.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a new route will also be established between Syria's Aleppo airport and Libya's Tripoli and Benghazi airports. This development aims to facilitate passenger movement and promote economic cooperation between the two countries. Al-Sulaibi explained that flights had been halted over the past decade due to political and security issues in both nations, but efforts to normalize the situations began last year.
