Dubai: Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake received His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Tuesday, on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit (WGS) held in Dubai, UAE.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during the reception, the Prime Minister conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. They expressed their affirmation of the close relations between Sri Lanka and Kuwait, wishing for further progress and prosperity in their bilateral ties.
The reception also served as a platform for discussing regional and international issues of common interest. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, alongside other senior Kuwaiti officials, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
