According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting was attended by representatives of Gulf professional organizations. It led to a broad professional consensus to establish a sustainable coordination framework to enhance knowledge and expertise exchange, unify professional messages on shared issues, and build an effective Gulf cooperation system in the fields of accounting and auditing.
The meeting received praise from the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), which, through its official website, affirmed the importance of this model of organized regional dialogue in transforming professional discussions into practical and actionable plans that contribute to raising the quality of practice and strengthening cooperation among professional organizations in the Middle East and North Africa. This recognition stemmed from the outcomes of the IFAC Connect Forum for the Middle East and North Africa, hosted in Riyadh and organized by SOCPA, which brought together leaders of the profession from around the world.
SOCPA CEO Dr. Ahmed Al-Meghames noted that the outcomes of the meeting were based on a set of knowledge initiatives, most notably holding regular coordination meetings, launching a monthly 'Gulf Knowledge Hour' session to exchange expertise, preparing a unified Gulf guide for professional practices, and exchanging professional indicators and data regularly, which enhances the reliability of the profession and strengthens its regional and international presence.
