Signing of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Mina Project Contract Highlights Kuwait’s Infrastructure Overhaul

Kuwait city: Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya announced the signing of the engineering-supply-construction contract for the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Mina project, underscoring the state's commitment to revamping its infrastructure and enhancing Kuwait's strategic standing in transport and logistics.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Yahya emphasized that the project marks a significant step in national development, highlighting the deepening relationship between Kuwait and China. This collaboration reflects the mutual trust and cooperation necessary for executing large-scale and strategic development projects.

The partnership with China forms a crucial component of Kuwait's vision 2035, focusing on expertise exchange and strengthening economic partnerships to serve mutual interests. Minister Al-Yahya noted that Kuwait is entering a new phase of executing its development plans, with the seven agreements signed during the Amir's visit to China in September 2023 serving as a foundation for this stage. Additional agreements with Beijing are expected to be implemented soon, further propelling Kuwait's vision 2035.

The port project is seen as a transformative step for Kuwait's national economy, aiming to establish the country as a regional financial-trade hub. Minister Al-Yahya also mentioned other significant infrastructure projects, such as the airport expansion, which are integral to this developmental thrust.
