Efforts to uphold Islamic values and consolidate national fundamentals stated by the National Action Charter and the constitution embody the approach and visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Shura Council said in a statement.
The Council commended the decision taken by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister who ordered the Minister of Education to immediately halt any changes in educational curriculum.
The Shura Council commended the role of religious scholars in preaching, instilling the principles of Islam, and promoting the values of loyalty and national belonging.
The Council affirmed the commitment of the legislative branch to supporting initiatives taken to uphold Islamic and national values.
