Sheikh Meshal Extends Condolences to Iran Following Bandar Abbas Explosion

Kuwait City: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has conveyed his condolences to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in the aftermath of a deadly explosion near Bandar Abbas port. The incident, which occurred in the southern region of Hormozgan, has resulted in more than eight fatalities. According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's Foreign Ministry expressed its support for the Palestinian National Authority's recent reforms aimed at strengthening national institutions. Additionally, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation voiced its disappointment over the United States' decision to revoke the immunity of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). In a separate major event, the funeral of Pope Francis in St. Peter's Square, Vatican City, drew a crowd exceeding 200,000 attendees, including numerous world leaders. The gathering marked a significant moment as people from around the globe came to pay their respects.
