The Secretary General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, announced that the undeclared goal of the US forces is to establish a region on the border with Syria.
Sheikh Al-Khazali said in a televised statement: The Americans did not get the interaction they expected, calling on the people of Anbar to beware of any American targets.
Al-Khazali stressed: The issue of negotiation to end the American combat presence is an old issue, and Al-Kadhemi government has not taken any real step towards that.
Sheikh Al-Khazali explained: There was not a single paper related to the negotiations between Al-Kadhemi government and the Americans, only it was a media goal.
Al-Khazali indicated that: The current Iraqi delegation imposed its conditions before it went to Washington and put forward its points, and there was acceptance in principle.
Sheikh Khazali stressed that the issue of the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq is inevitable, and the Americans know this, and the argument of ISIS is no longer sufficient.
Al-Khazali indicated that one of the Iraqi demands for negotiations is to separate the issue of Iraq from Syria with regard to ISIS, stressing that we consider the recent negotiation a step in the right direction.
Regarding alliances, Sheikh Al-Khazali said: It was a conviction among the bulk of the framework that there was no interest in his coming down with one list for coordination.
Al-Khazali said that the “Nebni” Coalition included Badr, Al-Ataa, Al-Jihad, Al-Binaa, Iqtedar, and the Islamic Iraq Movement, and the other part is the National Elite Alliance, and it includes the Truthful and Victorious, the Truthful and the Willing, and these are the pillars of the alliance.
