Sheikh Ali Shooting Tournament Concludes with Crowning of Champions

Mubarak Al-Kabeer: The annual shooting competition of the late Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah concluded the 2024-2025 season on Saturday with the crowning of the winners in both men's and women's categories. Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor Sheikh Sabah Badr Al-Salem Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of holding this tournament annually to support Kuwaiti shooters who have been achieving notable records in annual championships.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Sabah Badr Al-Salem Al-Sabah praised the Kuwait Shooting Club for its efforts in organizing the competitions at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Range. Club President Duaij Al-Otaibi highlighted that the tournament featured various categories including gun, pistol, rifle, and bow and arrow.

In the men's category, Hamad Al-Nemshan secured first place in the air pistol (10 m) division, while Abdullah Al-Harbi topped the air rifle (10 m) category. Hassan Al-Failakawi was victorious in the pistol shooting (25 m) and Saud Al-Subaiee excelled in the rifle competition (50 m). In the bow and arrow events, Habes Al-Sehammari and Mohammad Madi took first place in the Olympic and 30 m categories, respectively, with Abdullah Malallah emerging as the top champion in the overall bow and arrow contest.

For the women's events, Ghezlan Ali won gold in the air pistol division (10 m), and Mariam Al-Rezouqi excelled in the air rifle contest (10 m). Nour Al-Sherhan triumphed in the Olympic bow and arrow category, Hessa Mohammad dominated the same contest (30 m), and Hanan Al-Mayyas captured the gold in the compound bow and arrow category.

In the juniors' category, Nasser Al-Rabah was crowned champion in the air rifle (10 m) category, while Rataj Al-Zayadi claimed victory in the same contest for female athletes.
