Jeddah: The crescent moon of Shaban is expected to be visible this evening after sunset low on the southwestern horizon.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Jeddah Astronomy Society Director Eng. Majed Abu Zahra announced that the moon reached its central conjunction phase on Sunday, Rajab 29, 1447 AH, at 10:51 P.M. Makkah time. This marks the moment the moon moves from the west to the east of the sun, signaling the start of a new lunar month.
He explained that as the moon moves away from the sun's glare, it will become clearer to the naked eye than it was last night.
