Kuwait city: The US Central Command announced that its forces successfully conducted a raid in northern Syria, resulting in the death of a senior member of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS or IS). This operation was executed on Wednesday, targeting an individual who played a crucial role in financing and planning attacks in both Syria and Iraq.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the killed ISIS member had extensive relationships within the ISIS network across the region. These connections posed a significant threat to US and Coalition forces, as well as the new Syrian Government. ADM Brad Cooper, Commander of CENTCOM, emphasized the ongoing commitment to pursuing ISIS terrorists, stating, "We will continue to pursue ISIS terrorists with unwavering determination, throughout the region." He further assured that together with partners and allies, CENTCOM remains dedicated to ensuring the lasting defeat of ISIS and safeguarding the U.S. homeland.
