Security Operations Kill 15 Militants in Northern Pakistan

Peshawar: At least 15 militants were killed in two separate engagements in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said the military on Tuesday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a press release by Pakistan military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) indicated that an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in the general area Kulachi of Dera Ismail Khan District in KPK, following reports of militant presence.

In a separate operation in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan tribal district, security forces successfully neutralized five more militants, as confirmed by ISPR.

Earlier last week, Pakistan's security forces killed 20 militants in two separate engagements in KPK's tribal districts. The security operations are occurring amidst a rise in terror attacks in Pakistan, particularly in the KPK and Balochistan provinces bordering Afghanistan.
