Kuwait city: A security operation conducted in continuation against militants trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border resulted in killing three militants in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, Pakistan military said Tuesday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a deliberate sanitization operation was conducted in surrounding areas of Sambaza in Zhob district of Balochistan after successful engagements by the security forces which killed 47 militants.
During the conduct of the operation, "three more Indian sponsored" militants were hunted down and successfully neutralized, said ISPR.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed militants.
The number of militants killed in four days anti inflation operation has risen to 51, the military confirmed.
"The Security Forces remain committed to secure the nation's frontiers and thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Pakistan," the release added.
President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have lauded the security forces for another successful operation against militants.
The President said the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its valiant armed forces against terrorism, adding that the enemies of peace, stability and development of Pakistan will never succeed.
He expressed the resolve that war would continue with full force until the complete eradication of terrorism.
In his statement, PM Sharif expressed the determination that Pakistan will continue war against the scourge of terrorism until its complete eradication from the country.
He said the armed forces of Pakistan are engaged day and night in the mission to purge the homeland from terrorists, and for this purpose, the entire nation, including himself, pays glowing tribute to them.
